Veingeskolan

Veingeskolan is a K-9 school with just over 500 students and 70 employees. The school is beautifully located in Veinge, north of Laholm, close to both lake and forest with a view over the southern Halland agricultural land. The school was built in 1979 and underwent extensive renovation and expansion completed at the end of 2012.

Engaged learning and good well-being are the guiding principles of Veingeskolan. We believe these are important prerequisites for all students to achieve good results. Veingeskolan has a lot of engagement and high well-being among both students and staff.

At Veingeskolan, there is great participation and the opportunity to influence and be part of a whole. About the Position

As a teacher in the after-school program, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in the after-school program together with your colleagues.

The position involves work in one of our after-school departments as well as working with individual students or smaller groups during school hours. You may also plan and implement break activities.

The activities in the after-school program should stimulate students' development and learning and offer meaningful leisure time. It is important that you can adapt your work based on a holistic view of the students and their needs, promoting diverse contacts and social community. You want to work with your colleagues to develop the teaching in the after-school program.

You focus on the student, feel a strong commitment to the student group, and are results-oriented. You have the ability to see all students' different needs, consider their individual circumstances, and help all students grow. You have the ability to be clear and create a good working environment for students and your colleagues. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and are confident in your teaching role. We also see that you demonstrate good leadership qualities, are secure, clear, and easily create good relationships and collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians.

You show a good ability to plan and evaluate teaching based on the after-school program's governing documents.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach in the after-school program or alternatively a trained leisure pedagogue.

If you have experience with NPF and knowledge of low-arousal approaches, it is meritorious.
