Lagaholm School

Lagaholm School is a centrally located 7-9 school in Laholm with approximately 320 students and nearly 40 staff.

Our work to create a school where collaboration and collegial learning prevail has begun, and we have an exciting journey ahead of us. We are organized into grade-level teams, where teachers have all or most of their teaching. This is to promote the work around our students. Since the staff also works in teams, it provides opportunities to work thematically and integrated across subjects.

The use of ICT in teaching is a pedagogical tool for both students and staff in schoolwork. We prioritize high social skills among our staff as well as teaching characterized by entrepreneurial learning and clear goal orientation.

Description

You will teach visual arts for grades 7-9 together with the school's other teachers.

You will create a good learning environment for each student together with your colleagues. In the team together with the school leadership and the school's student health team, you will lead and develop the school for increased goal achievement. Your role includes mentorship together with a colleague for a class at the school.

Responsibilities

Teaching visual arts for grades 7-9. You will be responsible for 10-13 students as a mentor and share a class with a colleague. You will be part of a team with collegial responsibility for a grade and their development.

You will be part of a subject team and work with your colleagues to drive development in the subject. Our SKA work at the school is closely related to the core mission where the subject team works together towards ONE goal to develop teaching and the subject.

Qualifications

The requirements for you applying are that you have a teaching degree/teaching license, you are passionate about your teaching role and bring good ideas on how we can develop teaching, engage with current research, and are ready to drive this together with us. You are proactive, open to change, have an easy time engaging others, and inspire innovative thinking. You focus on students' results.

We work closely together collegially at the school and put "the team before the individual". We share responsibility for all students at the school.

We place great importance on personal qualities.
