Kattegattgymnasiet is a newly built school with space for 1,600 students and 180 staff. We offer both introductory programs, vocational programs, and theoretical programs. Your tasks

The years as a high school student are like an exciting adventure, but it should be a safe adventure where the student does not lose but wins the more they invest. The high schools in Halmstad municipality therefore have a common goal of offering students the safest adventure of their lives. We want to offer great choices for students, which is why we have high demands regarding the right staff in the right place. A teacher working with us should be well-educated and have a great commitment to their subjects.

Kattegattgymnasiet is now looking for a teacher in the Electrical and Energy Program. You will teach basic electrical subjects within the program. Examples of subjects that may be included in the position are Electrical Theory, Communication Networks, Installation Technology, Automation Subjects, and Property Systems. Based on the applicant's experience and competence, we will shape the position.

In addition to teaching, there will be work with students' APL (Workplace-Based Learning). The work with APL includes contact with the workplace and supervisors, visits, and assessments. Furthermore, you will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching. You assess students' goal fulfillment and communicate this with the student. You will also participate in team work and are expected to collaborate with colleagues.

Your qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone who is a qualified teacher and has pedagogical experience in high school, but we also highly value your professional experience in your subjects.

You are driven to work and develop together with your colleagues and want to create the absolute best conditions for students to achieve their goals. You have the ability to create good relationships with young people, are outgoing, socially active, and comfortable moving and communicating in various contexts related to the industry, as the assignment requires a lot of contact with the industry. It is an advantage if you have a large network within relevant industries.

You act according to our municipality's common values and are a role model for other employees. You encourage participation and creativity, show personal care by providing support and by confronting in a good spirit, both for your closest colleagues and for the organization as a whole. Through your way of acting and communicating, this approach spreads further in the organization and creates motivated and creative colleagues.

The daily work is based on a lot of collaboration with your colleagues, and we place great importance on personal suitability for teamwork to function.

A driving license (B) is a requirement for the position.
