Your new role

We are now looking for an experienced strategic buyer who wants to take a comprehensive approach to our client's category management and contribute to long-term sustainable and business-oriented supply strategies.

In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening the organization's purchasing capability by structuring and analyzing their total purchasing volume and developing strategies that create cost-effectiveness, reduce risks, and ensure compliance with LOU/LUF.

You will work independently but in close collaboration with the business and have a central role in professionalizing and further developing the purchasing work.

Your main responsibilities

• Analyze historical purchasing data and structure the purchasing volume into relevant categories

• Conduct market and risk analyses per category

• Develop long-term supply strategies including procurement and contract strategy

• Formulate recommendations regarding contract form, supplier structure, and competition strategy

• Ensure that the strategies are compliant with LOU/LUF and procurement principles

• Present decision-making materials and anchor strategies with internal stakeholders

• Documented and trackable purchasing categorization

• Clearly structured supply strategies per category

• Recommendations and prioritization plan for upcoming procurements

Scope of the assignment: Full-time, 100% Employment type: Fixed-term employment as a consultant via JobBusters. Work model: The assignment currently allows for both remote work and on-site work at the office in Kungsholmen, Stockholm. Days and times for this are determined based on the needs of the organization and the client's approval. Start: By agreement End: 2026-12-31, with an option for a 1-year extension. • Relevant academic degree or degree from a purchasing-focused vocational education

• At least 8 years of experience in purchasing & procurement

• At least 3 years of experience in category management or at least 4 years of experience in strategic purchasing

• Experience in developing purchasing strategies

• At least three years of experience in leading teams

• Desirable: At least 2 years of experience in public procurement

• Desirable: At least 1 year of experience in railways, trams, or real estate
