Själevadskolan is now looking for a teacher in mathematics and science subjects to join our team.

Själevad is beautifully located by the Moälven river, about 6 kilometers west of central Örnsköldsvik. We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of our team where competence, quality, and good relationships are important ingredients for focusing on knowledge development.

For those who are new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik municipality offers an introductory program for new teachers, which means that during your first year you will have a mentor. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications who can guide and support you.

Responsibilities

You will teach science subjects and mathematics in grades 7-9 and will have overall responsibility for the student group, handling the documentation and contacts that this entails. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work. The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree with subject qualifications in mathematics and science subjects.

We seek someone who enjoys being challenged and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience in leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
