Öhn School is located in the countryside with nature at your doorstep and has access to ski trails, an ice rink, and its own school forest.

During the school year 26/27, Öhn School will be divided into four classes: F-1, grades 2-3, grades 4, and grades 5-6. The school has approximately 60 students and also includes Fyrens after-school care.

The schoolyard invites creative play. Here you will find a zip line, two football fields, outdoor table tennis, a bandy field, and basketball hoops, as well as proximity to the forest.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a resource teacher for the Öhn Resele principal area, with placement at Öhn School.

The position involves helping students in need of support during their school day and time at the after-school care.

The work involves:

• Providing support to students in need of special support and extra adaptations
• Being a pedagogical support in the classroom together with the teaching teacher
• Relieving and collaborating with teachers regarding adaptations and working methods
• Contributing to structure, study peace, and students' knowledge development
• Collaborating with the student health team and other staff
• Together with the class teacher, guardians, special educator, and student health, creating a good and sustainable structure for the student

We strive to ensure that students in need of support are given the opportunity to develop and learn based on their conditions in an inclusive learning environment. We strive for students with support needs to be able to develop and learn based on their conditions.

The work is performed both individually and together in class.

Teachers are responsible for pedagogy, but the implementation and daily work are done together with you and the student, both individually and in class.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• Teacher training or other pedagogical higher education with a focus on work in schools
• Ability to work independently and in close collaboration with colleagues

Meritorious:

• Experience of working in primary school
• Experience of working with students in need of special support, individually or in groups
• Good knowledge of extra adaptations and inclusive working methods
• Experience of low-arousal responses

Personal qualities:

• You are relationship-building, clear, calm, and secure even in stressful situations.
• You are solution-focused and have a strong commitment to students' development.
