Your New Workplace

Solstrålen Preschool is located about ten kilometers north of Sundsvall, centrally in Ljustadalen.

The preschool consists of seven departments that are age-divided to create creative learning environments that invite exploration. We have a strong focus on learning for sustainable development and language-developing methods.

Our environments are in constant change, and learning for sustainable development is the starting point for all the work we do, and we have a Green Flag certification that allows us to systematically evaluate our sustainability efforts. In our pedagogical work, we focus on creating an environment that is understandable, manageable, and meaningful for the children, with a particular focus on language and communication.

The preschool is a workplace where you as a preschool teacher will take a leading role in the pedagogical work. You will have collegial exchanges with your colleagues in various focus groups. There is close cooperation with special education. There are good conditions for conducting quality teaching that makes a difference for the children. You are an important part of planning and implementing based on the governing documents we have.

Your Contribution as a Preschool Teacher

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for documentation, follow-up, and analysis of the education. You organize the activities based on the needs of the child group with the best interests of the entire preschool in focus and are confident in your professional role.

Together with the work team, you plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical work in accordance with the curriculum. You work to ensure that children, guardians, and colleagues feel joy, security, and participation.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the preschool teacher program and a preschool teacher license with the authority to teach in preschool. You are well acquainted with and have knowledge of the preschool curriculum. Experience working with children in need of special support is an advantage. You have a good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are proactive and flexible, with the ability to see opportunities in everyday life and adapt to the children's needs. You have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive work environment with colleagues. Through your relationship-building approach, you create safe and trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You have a holistic view of the assignment and see how your work contributes to the children's development, learning, and the quality of the operation.
