Licensed Teachers in Modern Languages Wanted

For the academic year 26/27, we are looking for licensed teachers in modern languages (Spanish, German, or French) with additional subject qualifications for teaching in primary and secondary schools.

The position involves working in both primary and secondary schools.

Örnsköldsvik Municipality operates nine middle schools and two high schools spread across the municipality. We place great value on licensed teachers and strive to employ qualified teachers to the greatest extent possible.

For those who are new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an introductory program for new teachers, which means that during your first year, you will have a mentor. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications as you who can guide and support you.

Responsibilities

You will have overall responsibility for the student group, including documentation and communication with students and guardians.

You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in collaboration with subject and work teams. The position also includes grading and other teaching tasks.

Mentorship for a number of students is included, with responsibility for following up and supporting your mentees and actively participating in student health work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with qualifications to work in primary and/or secondary schools with subject qualifications in languages and another subject.

We use Teams and Vklass as digital tools. Familiarity with these or any other digital learning platform besides Vklass is desirable.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being challenged and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
