The Activity House Pangea is a vibrant meeting place for Timrå residents of all ages. Here, opportunities for community, learning, and personal development are created through activities in culture and creativity, sports, and health. Timrå municipality operates the facility for the entire municipality with a particular focus on children, youth, and seniors. This year, we will also launch a new leisure club with mobile operations connected to the Timrå library.

We are now looking for an engaged and responsible employee to be part of the team at our new unit. The working hours are mainly scheduled for afternoons, evenings, and weekends. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and meaningful environment for our visitors, as well as independently planning, executing, and following up on activities for children and youth.

During certain weekends and school holidays, you will also work in the regular operations of the Activity House Pangea and carry out, together with other staff, holiday and weekend activities for children, youth, and other citizens of the municipality.

Job Responsibilities

• Be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing activities at the new youth center and its mobile operations.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment for visitors.
• Work with outreach activities in various locations around the municipality.
• Create and drive projects for children and youth in the municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with high social competence and a low-arousal approach. You have a good ability to build relationships and communicate with children and youth and can express yourself well in both speech and writing. You enjoy collaborating with others and are eager to drive and develop your own projects within the organization. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

To be considered for the position, you need to:

• Be good at collaborating with others and have experience in driving your own projects within an organization.
• Be flexible and solution-focused.
• Hold a valid B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working with children and youth, preferably in socio-economically disadvantaged areas.
• Educational background in pedagogy, such as youth leader training, sports leader training, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Education in social work.

Conditions

A background check for work with children and youth in schools is a requirement for employment.

And a B driver's license.

The position is a permanent employment at 75%, with a contract until 2026-12-31, with a possibility of extension. Interviews may be conducted before the application period has expired.
