Workplace Description

Nipanskolan is centrally located on the northern side of the Ångerman River in the Sollefteå urban area. The school has about 450 students from preschool class up to grade 9. We have a total of about 60 employees, including all professional categories. The school has several lead teachers, and the competence of the staff is high and valued by the school management. The school is also one of Mid Sweden University's partner schools for its teacher training.

For several years, Nipanskolan has been a 1-1 school, like other schools in the municipality. All students have access to a Chromebook, and we extensively use Google's educational services in teaching. We also have access to digital teaching materials in most subjects. All classrooms are equipped with projectors, and all teachers have their own Chromebook. Using technology as a tool to promote learning and goal achievement is a given at our school.

Nipanskolan is therefore a relatively large unit that creates several advantages, including:

• a well-developed student health service with counselors, school nurses, study and career counselors, special educators, and access to a school psychologist.

JOB DESCRIPTION

During the spring term, we are increasing staffing in our adapted learning environment to better meet our students' needs. In our adapted learning environments, we design more individualized support for the students where we assess that the support provided in the classroom is not quite sufficient.

In the adapted learning environment, you will work closely with your colleagues in the same group, but also with other teachers at the school. The role includes planning lessons both independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues and subject teachers.

Mentorship is included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone with a special education degree and/or broad subject competence. Experience with similar roles is considered an asset.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and your ability to collaborate with both adults and students.
