Teaching in Hairdressing Education at Nolaskolan

Örnsköldsvik High School has two school buildings, Parkskolan and Nolaskolan.

We have approximately 1800 students studying in five university preparatory programs and ten vocational programs, as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. Örnsköldsvik High School is designated as a training school, which means that VFU students are a regular feature in the school.

Responsibilities

You will teach vocational subjects related to our hairdressing program at Nolaskolan, where the program has brand new facilities well adapted to the needs of the education.

Your work includes teaching, planning, documentation, and communication with students and guardians. The assignment also involves participating in collaborative work with subject and work teams, as well as cooperating with the hairdressing industry and salons that host our students during their APL and apprenticeship periods.

Your responsibilities include mentoring a number of students. This entails significant responsibility for following up and supporting your mentees and actively participating in student health work.

The position is 80-100%.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed vocational teacher with qualifications to teach hairdressing subjects or other education and/or experience in the profession that the employer finds sufficient.

You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience in leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
