Music Teacher Wanted for Björna School District

We are looking for a music teacher for the Björna school district, which consists of four schools.

The school district includes a K-9 school located in Björna, a K-6 school in Gideå, one in Hemling, and a K-3 school in Trehörningsjö. All are small, genuine school units in the outskirts of Örnsköldsvik with strong local ties to the community. The schools are situated close to nature.

For those new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik municipality offers an introductory program for new teachers, which means you will have a mentor during your first year. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications as you.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach music across various grade levels at Björna and Gideå schools, as well as manage the documentation and contacts that this entails. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work. The assignment involves planning, executing, and following up on teaching. You will be part of the 7-9 work team, with natural meetings and collaborations that come with it.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and subject qualifications in music, who is also willing to collaborate across subject boundaries with classroom and subject teachers.

We seek someone who enjoys being challenged and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a positive atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience in leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.

A driver's license, category B, and access to your own car are required.
