Our school is located in a quiet residential area just outside the center of Örnsköldsvik.

We are a training school for Umeå University and regularly welcome teacher students in training to our school. Our team working with classes in grades F-3 is a competent group that can offer you a welcoming atmosphere with the student's best interests in focus. Together, we develop our unit to provide teaching of the highest quality.

For those new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality has an introductory program for new teachers, which means that during your first year, you will have a mentor. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications who can guide and support you.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach physical education in grades 1-3 and will have overall responsibility for the student group and manage the documentation and contacts that this entails. Contact and collaboration with guardians are an important part of the work. The assignment involves independently planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in consultation with the grade teams.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree with subject qualifications in physical education.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being challenged and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.

In our municipality, a number of positions are classified in security class, so a security review may take place. These positions require Swedish citizenship.
