The Enforcement Authority aims to combat over-indebtedness, and we help customers do the right thing from the start by providing information in a simple way. Customer service has a high inflow, and to succeed in the role, you need to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job

At the Enforcement Authority, we want to help customers do the right thing from the start. As a case officer in customer service, you are often our customers' first contact with the authority. You meet many who need our help every day. You work broadly with many different types of inquiries and in several different operational systems.

You answer inquiries from customers with varying backgrounds both via phone and email. We handle questions related to the entire authority's operations, and you will undergo training that provides you with the prerequisites to understand our mission and our operations.

Everyone who works at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your duties include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities about suspected crimes. As a case officer, you may, for example, identify, act, and document contacts with customers who are victims of economic violence in close relationships. This can result in you contributing to crime prevention.

Your Qualifications:

  • final grades from upper secondary education
  • worked at least twelve consecutive months in the last five years providing service in a fast-paced environment via phone, email, or other digital channels
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • good ability to understand and express yourself in English

It is desirable that you have current work experience in complex customer service. It is also desirable that you have current work experience in handling difficult conversations with people in vulnerable life situations.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a case officer and work on a schedule. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer.

Working in the government means that you follow the government’s core values. There are also special requirements for judgment, security thinking, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked of references. We also gather information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. Any information obtained will be considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security assessment with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision is made. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
