We are looking for a qualified social studies teacher for a temporary position at Svärdsjöskolan!

Svärdsjöskolan is a F-9 school with approximately 450 students, of which 260 are in grades 7-9. At Svärdsjöskolan, we work to create a safe learning environment where knowledge, engagement, and collaboration permeate our work. The goal is for all students leaving Svärdsjöskolan to be independent and able to take responsibility for their future.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach social studies in grades 7-9. You are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating your teaching in relation to students' learning and the school's governing documents. You will be part of a work team and are expected to collaborate with your colleagues to develop teaching and stimulate students' knowledge acquisition and goal fulfillment. You will collaborate for a good learning and working environment and actively participate in the school's development work. The position also includes mentorship in grade 8.

Qualifications

• Teacher education with qualifications in social studies
• Teaching license

We are looking for someone who is confident and clear in their leadership and professional role, responsible, attentive, and works individually tailored. You also have the ability to create good student and parent contacts. You are communicative and have good collaboration skills. You contribute to a good collaborative climate in meetings with both colleagues and school management. You want to develop the subject of social studies together with your subject colleague.
