Business and Workplace Description

We are now looking for teachers with a focus on after-school care for the Svärdsjö school area ahead of the autumn term 2026!

We need to complement our teams with more dedicated educators who want to contribute to our students' development and safety, as well as develop the after-school activities. Therefore, we are looking for someone with great commitment and interest in creating a safe, dynamic, and meaningful learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Your main focus will be to further develop the after-school activities at the school and in the school area together with your colleagues.

We offer workplaces where we together develop and create modern schools. Both your own school and through networks between schools in the area. You will also have the opportunity for collegial learning and professional development in various forms during the school year. We are now collectively aiming to continue elevating our after-school care.

We offer an exciting and challenging assignment where you will have the opportunity to develop an after-school program with the purpose and goal of providing students with a meaningful, stimulating, and challenging after-school experience based on the curriculum's purpose and the central content for after-school care.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the after-school program's teaching based on national goals and guidelines
  • Be responsible for movement, recess activities, and outdoor activities
  • Work together with the responsible classroom teacher to ensure that students have the best conditions for learning
  • Work with value-based issues as a natural part of the ongoing work with students
  • Together with your colleagues, contribute to a positive, meaningful, structured, and developing learning environment for each child and the entire group
  • Actively participate in the pedagogical development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the primary school's curriculum, the central content for after-school care, and the school's operational goals

The assignment includes collaborating with teachers during the school day and contributing to increasing students' goal fulfillment.

Qualifications

For the role, it is required:

  • That you are a licensed teacher with a focus on working in after-school care

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who can capture and stimulate students' curiosity, interest, and learning while working for community, safety, and knowledge. You are a positive team player who contributes and integrates naturally into the school's team, working both independently and with others to effectively achieve common goals. The work requires the ability to create good contact with students, colleagues, and guardians as interaction and collaboration are important aspects of the operation.

You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively while inspiring, motivating, and creating understanding. You are a clear leader who is used to taking significant responsibility and is interested in working for development and improvement. You are skilled at leading student groups in various activities - both play, outdoor activities, creative tasks, and social contexts. You also actively work to support students' ability and willingness to take responsibility and have influence. You enjoy leading and driving development issues within after-school care. You are solution-oriented and have the ability to create a good atmosphere and work environment.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Experience working in after-school care and/or school
  • Knowledge and experience in working with additional adjustments
  • Good knowledge of NPF

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment from the autumn term 2026 or with start date as agreed.

There may be an opportunity to request a lower employment rate.
