We are now looking for a preschool teacher for the open preschool in Ludvika municipality. Our open preschool is a meeting place for caregivers and children up to 6 years old. Caregivers can come here with their children for play, conversation, and activities. An important part of our work is to provide advice and support in their early parenting. Parenting support initiatives in collaboration with internal and external actors are part of the operation. The open preschool also conducts educational activities for children and caregivers to introduce families to the preschool format.

The open preschool is part of the Family Center VillGott. A family center is a co-location of maternal health care, child health care, open preschool, and social services with preventive activities. The purpose of the family center is to collaboratively reduce physical, mental, and social ill health among children and the inequality in health among children. The family center should also work to reduce the risk of children falling between the safety nets of society, ensuring that children receive the right support at the right time.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating the quality of the operation at the open preschool. Your ability to collaborate with caregivers as well as other operational forms within the family center and external partners is of utmost importance.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a qualified preschool teacher and have a preschool teacher license. You also have experience working in preschool or open preschool. If you have experience in singing, music, movement, art, or design in your work, we consider it highly meritorious.

As a preschool teacher with us, you are secure, stable, and can distinguish between personal and professional matters. You are socially active in professional contexts, create contacts, and maintain relationships. It is important that you have a positive and responsive approach where you listen and communicate well. To succeed in the role, we see that you have a creative streak, take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You are also self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks.

Furthermore, you are interested in and want to engage in health-promoting work to support caregivers in their parenting role. The position may be combined with other tasks. Examples of this may include working preventively to counteract segregation and exclusion. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. It is an advantage to have good knowledge of different languages.
