Are you our new mathematics teacher?

We are looking for three certified mathematics teachers for Lorensberg School 7-9.

Lorensberg School is a dynamic middle school with approximately 430 students and a staff of about 60 dedicated employees. We take pride in our diversity, where both staff and students have roots from all corners of the world, enriching our daily lives and creating an international atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching: You plan, implement, and evaluate teaching for grades 7–9 in accordance with applicable governing documents.
  • Pedagogical development: You are a driving force in creating and developing successful learning environments together with other staff.
  • Collaboration: Together with your team, you are responsible for planning, execution, and documentation of students' learning.
  • Mentorship: You play an important role as a mentor, where you follow and support a number of students' academic and social development.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified and engaged mathematics teacher with the ability to make the abstract understandable and exciting for middle school students. As a genuine team player, you actively contribute to the faculty and are passionate about developing teaching where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

  • Certified teacher with authorization to teach mathematics for grades 7–9.
  • Didactic skill and ability to adapt teaching to meet students at different knowledge levels.
  • Good collaboration skills and a desire to drive pedagogical development together with the team.
  • Relationship-building approach with a focus on creating safety and study peace in the classroom.
  • Digital competence and experience using modern teaching tools as a natural part of mathematics education.
