We are looking for an engaged and secure teacher who wants to make a real difference for our youngest students. Are you attentive, pedagogically skilled, and enjoy the role of a classroom teacher? Then this could be the position for you. We are currently seeking a substitute for grade 1 for the remainder of the school year.

Aspebodaskolan is a school with approximately 139 students, distributed across seven classes from preschool to grade 6. The number of students in each class ranges from 15 to 24. The school is located in a rural idyll between Falun and Borlänge - only 15 kilometers from each city. We have a fantastic varied schoolyard and a very nice indoor environment. At the school, teachers, leisure educators, and student assistants work closely together in a positive spirit.

Our task as staff at the school is to meet each student based on their individual conditions. This includes all students, those in need of more support in their development and those who need more challenges to reach their best selves.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of substitute teacher, you are expected to plan lessons and follow up on students' development, collaborate with other educators and staff, and manage communication with guardians.

Qualifications

For the role, the following is required:

• You must be a licensed teacher.
• You have a strong ability to plan and conduct lessons.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you easily make independent decisions with the students' best interests as a clear starting point. You are secure in your profession and can lead a student group with both structure and warmth.

You enjoy collaborating well with your colleagues and have an open and respectful approach towards guardians. Furthermore, we see that you are unpretentious, attentive, and have great patience - qualities that help you create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the teaching role and actively contributes to a positive work climate. You have a genuine desire to support students in their development and to be a stable and engaged adult in their daily lives.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle, as public transport has limited routes to the school.
• Experience working with students with special needs.

Employment Conditions

The position is a substitute until June 17, 2026, full-time, with a start date according to agreement.
