Domnarvets School is a comprehensive school F-9 with approximately 630 students. We work with a future-oriented approach focusing on collaboration in working groups and subject teams. The team concept is fundamental, where one is part of a whole and stands together with colleagues for learning and development.

In the working group, there is a shared responsibility for the grade and the students in that grade. In the subject team, there is a collegial responsibility for the development of the quality of teaching together with other subject colleagues. We have high qualifications and stable working and subject teams with many years of competence that constantly find new ways forward.

We have a flexible view of the schedule and conditions for students' learning and prioritize students' participation in their schoolwork with the student's own learning at the center. This means, among other things, that students are given the opportunity to, together with their mentor, plan for their own prioritized work and learning a couple of lessons a week.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a mathematics teacher for grades 7-9 where you will be part of secure and stable working and subject teams. The position can be filled immediately by agreement or at the latest by the start of the autumn term for the school year 26/27. We are keen to find the right person for the position.

With us, you have mentoring responsibilities for some students in the grade to share the responsibility together with colleagues for the entire grade.

You are also an important part of the subject team that, together with subject colleagues, is responsible for the development in mathematics. Every week you meet your colleagues in working and subject teams within the framework of your working hours, focusing on the common collegial work which provides good conditions for our development work and planning of teaching.

Our mathematics teaching is organized so that the entire grade or two classes have mathematics simultaneously in the schedule where all or several mathematics teachers teach. This means a prioritized resource with more teachers than classes for each math block in the schedule where you will be one of the teachers in mathematics.

Your mission is to help students meet the knowledge requirements based on the curriculum within clear frameworks. This also includes regular documentation, contact with home, and other school development work.

In addition to your closest colleagues, you will have support from special teachers, special educators, social educators, career counselors, curators, and school management.

You should always have colleagues and support functions close at hand.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

• Certified teacher with qualifications in mathematics for grades 7-9.
• Very good oral and written skills in Swedish.

Important personal qualities are to be structured, positive, have good collaboration skills, be solution-focused, results-oriented, and proactive, as well as having a good ability to create relationships and communicate.

Desirable qualifications:

• Qualifications in science or technology and special educational competence are meritorious.
