Gylle school is one of the largest primary schools in Dalarna, a F–9 unit with approximately 900 students. The school is located just south of Borlänge city center with good transport links and a wide catchment area that creates diversity and rich opportunities for learning.

Since April 2025, Gylle school F–6 has fully completed new, modern, and well-equipped learning environments – including a gym and cafeteria – designed to support varied and future-oriented teaching. Together with our dedicated and qualified staff group, organized in strong grade teams, these facilities create a successful recipe where professionalism, student focus, and good structures meet.

About 80 employees work in various roles at the F–6 unit, all contributing to a safe and learning environment. We are in an exciting phase of development focusing on strengthening students' digital competence while maintaining our profile as a reading school to increase goal fulfillment in all subjects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a teacher in wood and metal crafts, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching for students in grades 3-6. You use methods and approaches that support students' knowledge development and lead to high goal fulfillment in accordance with current governing documents.

You create a safe and inspiring learning environment where students are encouraged to develop creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills. The role also includes promoting and supporting students' social development and contributing to an inclusive climate in teaching. You document students' progress in the school's operational system and collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching and strengthen the overall experience for students.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

We are looking for someone with a teaching license with authorization to teach wood and metal crafts in grades 3-6.

Very good oral and written skills in Swedish and good knowledge of English.

Personal qualities:

You have good problem-solving skills and a strong desire to build good relationships with students and colleagues. You collaborate well, plan and organize your work in a structured way, and take initiative when needed. You are communicative and contribute to a safe and professional learning environment.

Desirable qualifications:

Authorized in the entire craft subject including textile crafts and if you have authorization in additional subjects within grades 3-6.

Knowledge of languages other than Swedish and a B driver's license.
