Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to offering complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions. Our values – customer first, respect, teamwork, responsibility, and waste elimination – permeate everything we do. Together, we stand at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

About the role

In your work with the local management team (Production Group Manager, Team Leader, Workshop Technician, Logistics Developer), you will work with Scania's Production System (SPS) and apply it to improve the business processes and manage daily challenges. You will also work on leading projects or as a project resource where you will have great support from your driven logistics development colleagues — this may involve sizing warehouse capacity, finding the best ways to flow materials to our customers, and analyzing how we can long-term optimize our spaces and processes to be as efficient as possible. The role is production-close and requires regular presence on-site at the Logistics Center in Södertälje to quickly anchor and implement solutions in production.

Your daily work consists of participating in morning meetings to follow up on key figures and resolve deviations, making production observations that lead to quick improvements, updating dashboards, and preparing short analyses as well as supporting tests and implementations in production. Recurring tasks include capacity planning, planning of warehouse/pallet space needs, driving smaller improvement projects, and preparing decision support for planning meetings.

About the team

We are a dedicated team of seven logistics developers who work closely with production to develop efficient, sustainable flows. In the team, we combine analysis, capacity sizing, improvement work, and digitalization — with practical anchoring in SPS and close collaboration with production, workshop technology, and the digitalization function. You will have the opportunity to grow and contribute directly to production.

As the group manager for our team, I am committed, present, and keen to give employees responsibility and the conditions to develop. I work closely with the team, coach in everyday life, and ensure that you receive clear goals, regular feedback, and the support needed to succeed — both in operational improvements and in larger and more strategic activities. We celebrate successes, learn from mistakes, and prioritize a respectful, inclusive work climate.

Who are you?

We believe that you have a civil or bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on logistics or equivalent experience, that you have experience from production/logistics and understand how the logistics chain affects production and capacity, that you are analytical and used to working in a structured manner, thrive in cross-functional teams, and want to drive digitalization and improvement work in a changing business.

You are practically oriented, solution-focused, and enjoy being close to production. You take initiative, prioritize effectively, and build good relationships within the organization. You communicate clearly, are eager to share knowledge, and contribute to a safe and developing work climate.

Meritorious

Experience with Power BI — building dashboards and visualizations; knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis; experience with Python for data transformation or simple automation; experience with SPS, Lean, or other improvement methods.

Why Scania?

Opportunity to influence the digitalization agenda within the logistics center; practical impact — your solutions are used in production and provide measurable improvement; clear development paths, support from experienced colleagues, and mentoring programs; flexibility in working hours/hybrid work where possible, but the role is primarily based in production; an inclusive culture that values diversity and improvement work.

Scania offers

We offer a dynamic and flexible workplace with hybrid working opportunities, including Scania Sergel and Midway hubs. With a structured development plan and courses, Scania supports your career development both locally and internationally.

Benefits include training at our health center Gröndal or wellness grants, performance bonuses, flexible working hours, and the possibility of a company car. Scania also organizes events for employees and their families, and residents in Stockholm have direct access to Södertälje via Scania Job express buses.

Application

Your application should include a CV and diploma. We welcome all applicants and strive for diversity in our recruitment processes. Apply as soon as possible, no later than 2026-03-18. Selection is ongoing during the application period. Logic and personality tests may be used in our selection process, and a background check may need to be conducted for this position.
