Technical Specialist HVAC
Svenska kraftnät is one of the most important players in the transition to sustainable energy. As a technical specialist HVAC, you will have one of Sweden's most important jobs, contributing daily to Sweden's electricity supply. We need you to succeed in our socially important mission to electrify Sweden.
At our division Network, you will be involved in expanding and maintaining the transmission network. To meet society's needs, Svenska kraftnät plans to build 7000 kilometers of transmission lines over the next 20 years. Apply today and get the chance to help illuminate Sweden!
About the position
As a technical specialist HVAC, you are Svenska kraftnät's technical resource regarding HVAC (primarily ventilation but also cooling systems, heat pumps, and water supply) at our various stations. You will assist in reviewing documents against the requirements in Svenska kraftnät's technical guidelines, technical descriptions, industry-specific standards, and regulations, as well as help answer questions regarding HVAC. If necessary, you will also perform site visits for inspections/investigations and attend inspections. The work may also include developing technical requirements from a management perspective.
Additionally, the role can be described as follows:
- Technical expert in HVAC, cooling, control, and regulation systems.
- Provide technical support during project implementation.
- Attend inspections.
- Update and develop Svenska kraftnät's technical guidelines.
- Expert support with a particular focus on cooling systems, including heat pumps.
- Work related to gas-insulated substations, as well as support management for other types of substations/stations at SVK.
- Support in inventory and assessment of existing equipment.
The role offers good opportunities for growth both technically and strategically. You will deepen your expertise in cooling, heat pumps, and advanced control and regulation systems while gaining a broad insight into how Sweden's electricity infrastructure is developing. Through close collaboration with project managers, management, and technical specialists, you will build a broad understanding of the entire facility lifecycle – from planning (pre-study, design, operation) to decommissioning.
The Building & Land unit consists of 8-9 employed technical specialists and about the same number of consultants. The unit is part of the Primary Facility section, which in turn is under the Station Technology department.
About you
In this role, you will help solve technical puzzles that truly make a difference for Sweden's electricity supply. You will step into an environment where each facility has its own conditions – meaning you will work with everything from advanced cooling systems and heat pumps to complex control and regulation systems in critical GIS stations. As the challenges are varied and often unique, you will work solution-oriented where structure and focus on order and planning become success factors.
In the role of technical specialist, you will also need to advocate for your case and convincingly speak for your and SVK's issues.
We place great importance on your personal competencies.
