Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions. Our values – customer first, respect, teamwork, responsibility, and waste elimination – permeate everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.
About the role
As a Project Manager within OLSTO, you will be responsible for driving strategic and operational projects from assignment to implemented solution. The role is production-oriented and projects typically have a time horizon within a year; they encompass technical, organizational, and digital changes. The role requires regular presence on-site at the Logistics Center in Södertälje to quickly anchor and implement solutions in production. You will work closely with the operational level of production to ensure that solutions can be introduced and function in practice. The role involves leading change, managing stakeholders, and ensuring that project goals, effects, and results are achieved.
Main responsibilities
Be responsible for project management according to PPS (steps 1–2) and apply PEIP in the early phases of the project. Participate in and be responsible for OLST's planning and financial processes. Structure and lead project pulses and develop and follow up project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource needs. Conduct financial follow-up of projects and investments and ensure clear reporting and decision-making material to steering groups and relevant forums.
Drive sustainability initiatives related to capacity and flows. Participate in the development and implementation of digital tools in close collaboration with Scania's digitalization group — you will be responsible for requirements specification, testing, and implementation in the production environment.
Lead change management and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure delivery and impact. Ensure transparency, documentation, and ongoing reporting throughout the project's lifecycle. Collaborate with other units responsible for multi-year strategic projects (e.g., OLSTP) to secure smooth handovers and operational consensus.
About the team
We are a dedicated team of seven logistics developers working closely with production to develop efficient, sustainable flows. In the team, we combine analysis, capacity dimensioning, improvement work, and digitalization — with practical anchoring in SPS and close collaboration with production, workshop technology, and the digitalization function. You will have the opportunity to grow and contribute directly in production.
As the group manager for our team, I am engaged, present, and keen to give employees responsibility and the conditions to develop. I work closely with the team, coach in daily activities, and ensure that you receive clear goals, regular feedback, and the support needed to succeed — both in operational improvements and in larger and more strategic activities. We celebrate successes, learn from mistakes, and prioritize a respectful, inclusive work climate.
Who are you?
You have a relevant university degree or equivalent experience. You have documented experience in project management in complex, cross-functional, and production-oriented environments. You have experience in financial follow-up of projects and investments. You work data-driven and can produce clear decision-making material; you have good analytical and strategic skills. You are skilled in process mapping and improvement work and are used to presenting and anchoring strategic initiatives. You can manage multiple parallel initiatives with structure, clarity, and prioritization ability.
You are independent, proactive, and responsible. You are confident in leading people through change and create participation in project groups. As a person, you are solution-oriented, have good prioritization skills, and communicate well at all organizational levels.
Meritorious
Completed SET training or other leadership training. Experience in digitalization projects and development/implementation of digital tools in collaboration with a central digitalization function. Practical experience of SPS, Lean, or other improvement methods. Technical understanding of data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, or Python).
Why Scania?

An inclusive culture that values diversity, improvement work, and concrete impact.
