Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Care Assistant in home care, you are an important part of our clients' daily lives. You work closely with people and contribute to their safety, independence, and quality of life in their own homes. The job involves driving between clients in rural areas and providing care to individuals with both somatic needs and dementia.

The work is located in the western and northern parts of Ystad municipality and is characterized by close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals. You have independent responsibility in your assignment but are always part of an engaged team that supports each other. Together, we work for a good working environment and high-quality care.

Your tasks include personal care, service interventions, delegated health care tasks, and social support. You meet each individual with respect, attentiveness, and a person-centered approach, where the client's needs and wishes are at the center.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained Care Assistant with a protected professional title.
• Has a B driver's license as the job involves driving between our clients in rural areas.
• Has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Experience in home care and with individuals who have somatic needs and/or dementia is an advantage.

As a person, you are attentive, empathetic, and respectful in your interactions with others. You have the ability to create trust and safety with clients and relatives, even in challenging situations. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and at the same time, find it easy to collaborate and contribute to a good team climate.
