Are you a licensed occupational therapist looking to make a difference in the daily lives of the elderly? We are currently seeking two occupational therapists for the rehabilitation section within our care and nursing homes.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as an occupational therapist in Malmö City, you create good conditions for individuals to live as independently as possible. With us, you are part of a team where you collaborate with nurses, physiotherapists, and care staff, and participate in care planning. The work is based on the individual’s needs, personal conditions, and participation.

As a licensed occupational therapist, you will conduct ADL assessments and activity assessments, as well as assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative interventions. The job also includes guiding other staff in a rehabilitative approach. You will assess the living environment as needed, including the need for housing adaptations and the testing of technical aids.

Qualifications

We are currently looking for two licensed occupational therapists (180 credits) interested in working with our Malmö residents in Malmö City’s care and nursing homes, one permanent position and one parental leave cover for approximately 1 year. The work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as good digital competence. Additionally, you need to be able to cycle to get around to our various care and nursing homes.

As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and structured, seeing opportunities that lead to good overall solutions. You contribute with innovative thinking and actively want to develop the organization. With good collaborative skills, you are communicative and relationship-building, have a responsive and professional demeanor, and can take on a pedagogical and guiding role in delegated interventions.

Experience working in care and nursing homes, within municipal operations, or in the professional field is an advantage.

With us, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants work together, and we operate from our offices at Erikslustvägen 17 and Gasverksgatan 9. The permanent position will be based at Gasverksgatan 9, while the temporary position will be based at Erikslustvägen 17.
