If so, the hematology department at Helsingborg Hospital may be the right fit for you! Here, you are significant and care for patients with diseases of the blood, bone marrow, or lymph nodes.

The hematology department is a small and pleasant unit with around 25 employees. The department is located in new, bright premises on the third floor where we have the best conditions to care for our hematological patients. There are eleven beds with single rooms. The length of stay varies and can be from one to several days. Here we provide chemotherapy treatments, transfusions, and other infusions during the patient's stay, as well as prepare patients for transplantation with their own stem cells and care for them after transplantation. We use mobile devices, Medanets, for collecting vital parameters directly into the journal, and we continuously work to utilize the right competence in the right way.

Helsingborg Hospital is an emergency hospital with large patient flows. This makes the work varied and sometimes challenging. Patients with different forms of blood cancer and non-malignant hematological diseases come to us, and our task is to prolong and improve the lives of patients with blood diseases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you have nursing responsibility for our patients together with nursing assistants. There are also nursing leaders in the department who provide support for both new and experienced employees. Many of the patients are well-informed about their illness, while others need more information and support from you as a nurse.

You will work with administering intravenous treatments such as chemotherapy through central access. Information, support, and nursing are also important parts of caring for hematology patients.

We care about your professional development, and based on your interests, there is the opportunity, after introduction and experience from department work, to rotate to our outpatient clinic. This will give you an even deeper understanding of our specialty.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. If you are interested in and/or have experience and knowledge in improvement management, we see it as a positive.

As a person, you need to have good prioritization skills and be engaged and flexible. You focus on the patient and have a genuine interest in hematology.
