In the city of Mölndal, we are proud to have Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's everyday lives every day!
The Supervisory Authority is a municipal supervisory authority tasked with overseeing the work of guardians, curators, and custodians for minors and the property of principals. The operations are primarily governed by the rules in the Parental Code, the Guardianship Ordinance, and the Administrative Procedure Act.
Härryda, Kungsbacka, Mölndal, Partille, and Öckerö municipalities have a joint supervisory organization, Supervisors in Cooperation. The municipalities have also established a joint supervisory board. The population of the cooperating municipalities is approximately 250,000 inhabitants.
The joint organization consists of 14 employees and is located in Mölndal, where the supervisory unit is part of the Department of Legal and Administrative Governance at the City Executive Office. As society changes and the assignment grows – with more complex cases, increased demands for quality, and great opportunities in digital development – we are now strengthening our operations by expanding our team.
We are now looking for engaged and responsible case officers who want to contribute to and further develop the supervisory operations together with us. With us, you will be part of a highly competent and experienced workgroup that values collaboration, structure, and a professional approach.
We offer a stable workplace with an important societal mission, where you have the opportunity to work independently with the support of knowledgeable colleagues – and where your work makes a real difference.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a supervisory case officer, you have a qualified and meaningful assignment where you work with supervision and processing of cases related to guardianship, curatorship, and custodianship. The role includes independent decision-making within the supervisory authority's area of responsibility, legal assessments, and processing of more complex cases.
You review accounting documents, prepare applications and opinions for the court, and represent the authority in court proceedings if necessary. The work is varied, responsible, and gives you the opportunity to apply your legal expertise in practice, always with legal security and quality in focus.
The position offers a stable and structured work environment with a clear societal mission. At the same time, it is a dynamic job where cases run over time and where priorities sometimes need to be adjusted based on incoming questions and new circumstances.
To thrive in the role, you need to feel comfortable managing several parallel processes and appreciate work that requires both structure and flexibility. With us, you will have the opportunity to work independently, with the support of competent colleagues, in an organization that values professionalism, collaboration, and a calm and solution-oriented approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a relevant academic degree in law, economics, or another education that we consider equivalent. We would like you to have work experience in law, case processing, or similar. Experience from public operations is a plus but not a requirement.
As a person, you are social and service-oriented and have a good ability to meet people and handle different situations in a professional manner, especially from a supervisory perspective. We are looking for someone who:
- Is driven and works independently, structured, and efficiently.
- Is analytical and expresses themselves well in both speech and writing.
- Has a positive attitude towards change and development work and thrives in an organization that evolves with new legal requirements and changing expectations.
Furthermore, you are used to working with IT and have an interest in digital and technical solutions. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in leading and driving development work in digitalization, system development, or streamlining administrative processes.
You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work environment. As a person, you are stable, flexible, and humble, while also being clear and willing to express your opinions.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
OTHER
We see diversity as a strength and therefore welcome applicants from different backgrounds. As we work to promote gender equality and a balanced gender distribution in the workgroup, we positively welcome male applicants for the position.
We would like to inform you that your application is a public document according to the principle of public access. If you have protected personal information, do NOT apply through the system but contact the responsible recruiting manager for handling your application. Contact details can be found in the advertisement.
Before a possible employment, we will check citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to present a valid residence/work permit or prove that you are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
In preparation for the recruitment work, we have made decisions regarding recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly request no contact with media sellers, recruitment sites, or similar.
