The Social Care Administration in Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, and health and medical care interventions for the mentioned target groups. With approximately 1000 employees and 45 managers, we continuously work to improve the quality of our services for those we serve.

We are expanding the administration's HR function with an additional resource and are therefore looking for an experienced HR specialist.

The HR function currently consists of three HR specialists, one HR administrator, and two unit managers who, together with the HR manager, drive and develop the work within the administration. The two unit managers are responsible for the administration's staffing unit and the administrative coordination unit.

We are located in modern premises in the center of Borås, where the administration's support functions and managers are gathered.

HR Specialist

As an HR specialist, you will provide professional support to the administration's managers in HR matters. The responsibilities cover the entire HR area, which includes supporting managers in labor law and contractual issues, salary matters, work environment, rehabilitation, recruitment, competence development issues, and collaboration. The focus of the position is on operational HR work where you support the administration's managers in their daily HR tasks, but you will also have strategic assignments. Part of this role involves working with employee engagement within the administration through group development initiatives in our units. You will be part of the municipality's network for HR specialists and will also collaborate with the municipality's central personnel and negotiation department.

We are looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in human resources and labor relations or another equivalent education that the employer deems appropriate. We want you to have several years of experience in HR work. Furthermore, it is essential that you have an interest and commitment to HR issues. We want you to have experience with labor law personnel matters, including rehabilitation.

In your work, you have a good ability to create structure and act from a common employer perspective. As a person, you are confident and unpretentious in your professional role and have an easy time building trusting relationships with our managers and trade unions. You are a team player who sees that the strength of the HR function lies in working together and contributing with our different perspectives to create a good whole and stable support for our managers.

The work involves a lot of communication in both speech and writing, and you need to be a good communicator in the Swedish language and have the ability to convey messages in a way that creates motivation and engagement. Since part of the job involves giving presentations and leading group development initiatives, it is important that you are good at and enjoy speaking in front of groups.
