Ernst Rosén is one of the larger privately owned property companies in Gothenburg. With the customer close to our hearts, we develop our buildings, neighborhoods, and employees. We consciously and actively work to create sustainable values that enrich the lives of our tenants – today and tomorrow.
The Role
As a Project Controller, you will be responsible for the financial management of property development projects, including new construction, renovation projects, and tenant adaptations. You will be involved from early stages, ensuring quality in investment calculations and becoming an important enabler for profitable, well-managed, and sustainable projects. You will be the financial hub of the project organization and the natural right hand of project managers in matters related to calculations, forecasts, follow-ups, and decision-making support. The role is placed within the Finance and Accounting organization, and you will report to our CFO.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for processes, tools, and models within budgeting, calculation, and follow-up of property and investment projects
- Participate in the work on investment calculations – from model development, creation of investment calculations to follow-up on completed investments
- Monitor project costs, cash flows, risks, and opportunities, and lead forecast reviews
- Actively drive and develop the budgeting and forecasting process for projects
- Compile and report sustainability-related data related to properties and projects
- Contribute to the development of processes, routines, and system support, and serve as a sounding board and knowledge support within the organization
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for someone who is a business economist or equivalent and has at least five years of experience in the role of project controller, preferably within the construction or real estate industry. You have an analytical and business-oriented approach and thrive in collaboration with others. You are communicative, self-assured, and have an easy time building trust at all levels of the organization. You enjoy a pedagogical role where you make complex data understandable. You are motivated by responsibility and the opportunity to influence, readily take your own initiatives, and work systematically even when multiple issues are ongoing simultaneously. With an unpretentious attitude and a strong service mindset, you contribute where needed and see improvement work as an obvious part of your work style. You are attracted to a dynamic environment where not all processes are in place and where you are expected to help create them.
We Offer
We operate in an exciting industry where we have the opportunity to make a difference. We are a workplace with a wonderful community, where we all share the belief that the key to success is that we do things together and take advantage of each other's unique skills and experiences. You will be offered a varied workday with great opportunities for development both in your role and in the company as a whole. We are a secure employer where our employees' well-being and collaboration are important parts of our corporate culture.
