Staff Assistant to the Logistics Section

The army is undergoing expansive development with ongoing work to integrate into NATO, allowing participation in the dynamic transformation journey taking place to meet current threats in Europe. The Army Staff leads the army's 18 units through planning and coordination of the army's production of new combat units and the utilization of these units. The Army Staff also plans and leads operations, nationally and internationally, over time across the globe. We are now seeking a staff assistant for the Logistics Section in the Implementation Department, based in Enköping.

Recruiting Unit

The Logistics Section is responsible for supply, technical services, transport, medical services, and other logistics support for the army's units during operations, both nationally and internationally, as well as the production and maintenance of combat units through conscription training, standing units, or operations with current combat units. The Logistics Section's task is to support all processes of the Army Staff with logistics expertise. This provides you with a broad and interesting insight into the army's operations, which will also be beneficial for potential continuation in other positions within the Armed Forces.

Main Responsibilities

In your role as a staff assistant in the Logistics Section, you are expected to support the section's administrative routines and staff duties. Work with daily operations and tasks within the framework of national and international missions and enable continued conscription production. The Army Staff is a combat unit, which means you will be assigned to the section and are expected to operate across the entire readiness scale of peace, crisis, and war. Your tasks require good collaboration skills and a flexible approach to changes as part of the army's adaptation to NATO.

Examples of what this means in practice include:

• Support preparations, execution, and follow-up at planning meetings, dialogues, and leadership.
• Support regarding administration in support systems such as PRIO, VIDAR, etc.
• Support administratively in handling orders, documentation, and reports.
• The role includes participating in exercises and follow-up of operations, sometimes at other locations.
• Participate in logistics support for deployed units, primarily nationally.
• Contribute to the work on a current joint logistics situation picture at AST.
• Support other parts of AST and DUC regarding the implementation of logistics nationally.
• Fulfill command roles in the logistics function.
• At times, be on standby to report to the workplace for duty at short notice.

Qualifications

• Swedish citizen
• Completed Swedish military service, GMU or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that the employer considers equivalent.
• Class B driver's license
• Good knowledge of MS Office, Windows, and general IT skills, software and hardware
• You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, in which you can express yourself in both speech and writing.
• You meet the Armed Forces' requirements for FM Physical Standard basic level.

Desirable/Meritorious

• OR4-5
• Completed basic course in staff duties or equivalent training that the employer considers equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Armed Forces' IT systems LOGFAS, LIFT, PRIO, VIDAR, SWECCIS, ISUS, etc.
• Completed basic course in security service or equivalent
• Trained in the Armed Forces' signal protection material.
• Worked within a military staff

• You have good collaboration skills, are social, engaged, communicative, and flexible but also meticulous and persistent.
• Confident in working independently and with mission tactics
• Responsible and loyal
• Communicative and outgoing
