Reemployment within the Swedish Armed Forces

The Swedish Armed Forces and the Signal Regiment are undergoing significant changes and are looking for you who want to be part of our growth journey - due to the current global situation and the growth of the Armed Forces, we need you more than ever!

  • We are now looking for you who are a professional officer but for various reasons have chosen to leave the Armed Forces - here is an opportunity to come back and be reemployed!
  • We are also looking for those of you who have already retired but feel that you have more to give in the workforce and would consider reemployment. New regulations allow you to keep your pension while being permanently or part-time employed within the Armed Forces.
  • Are you currently a reserve officer and would be interested in a permanent position? We are looking for you too!

As an employee of the Armed Forces, you will be offered varied and meaningful tasks, physical training during work hours, and good opportunities for personal development. As a commissioned officer at the Signal Regiment, you will work with engaged colleagues towards the unit's set goals.

Job Responsibilities

We can offer work in the following positions:

  • Logistics Officer
  • Logistics Administrator
  • Chief of Electronic Warfare Air Systems/Air
  • Mobilization Officer
  • Ground Security Officer
  • Unit Quartermaster
  • Deputy Chief of the Garrison Department

We are also looking for professional officers in the following areas:

  • Professional officers in command systems, electronic warfare, and operational communication
  • Staff officers in planning, intelligence, logistics, security, execution, and signal protection.
  • Department-level leaders
  • Chief of Electronic Warfare Air Systems/Air
  • Motor Instructors
  • Technical Officers
  • Logistics Officer
  • Quartermasters
  • Commanders

Regardless of the position you hold, you will in some way work to support and create conditions for the growth of the Armed Forces and the development of the Signal Regiment.

Requirements

As an officer or specialist officer, you are expected to possess:

  • Approved officer/specialist officer training
  • Previous service in the Armed Forces or other defense-related activities
  • Meet the physical ability requirements of the position
  • Hold at least a B driver's license

Personal Qualities

The tasks of an officer/specialist officer are varied and require you to work in a structured and unpretentious manner. As a person, we see that you have good communication skills, are responsible and unpretentious. You are a team player with high collaboration skills while being proactive and able to work independently.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
Employment rate: Full-time. If you have already retired and are considering part-time work, there are opportunities for this.
Work location: Enköping, work location Stockholm may occur for specific positions.

The Signal Regiment is a joint unit of the Armed Forces. Here there are several combat units and teams that represent a national expertise within the Armed Forces. Through command, communication, meteorology, and psychological operations, the Signal Regiment creates conditions for successful cooperation in land, sea, air, and information arenas. The Signal Regiment conducts operations across the entire spectrum from development, training, and exercises to deployment.

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. Security clearance with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
