About the Unit
The Air Force's Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, Strilbataljon, is tasked with monitoring Swedish airspace and leading combat aircraft. The battalion operates around the clock, year-round from facilities across the country. The Air Defense Company is responsible for protecting the facilities of the Strilbataljon.
The main task of the Air Defense Company is to detect, locate, identify, and counter security threats against the Air Force's command systems. The Air Defense Company consists of Air Defense Platoons, all of which utilize technical sensors, vehicles, and various types of weapon systems to accomplish their tasks. The Air Defense Company is characterized by flexible and mobile operations over large areas in small units, capable of operating throughout the country in all seasons and at all hours of the day. We operate under varying physical and psychological conditions and therefore place high demands on our employees regarding physical ability.
Main Responsibilities
The 1614 Air Defense Company's staff is looking for someone with experience and competence in logistics services. The position of logistics assistant at 1614 Air Defense Company means that you will primarily work with the quartermaster but also with the technical manager and technical assistant, who together form part of the company's logistics function. Your role is to support the quartermaster and others in the company within the logistics track. The logistics assistant is responsible for assisting the quartermaster with orders, mapping services, vehicle tracking, catering bookings, equipment, and general supply orders. As an assistant, you will also support the platoons and the company during training and exercises. The position involves a variety of tasks, and as a logistics assistant, you will also work in the role of staff assistant.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- B Driving License (manual)
- Completed military service or GMU
- Experience working with similar tasks

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team in a routine but varied work environment. You are flexible, responsible, and actively work to solve your and the staff's assigned tasks and your personal development. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
DESIRABLE
- Adr basic + class 1 and tank
- Driving license category C, CE
- Military driving license/ forklift license
- Previous experience in logistics and/or staff service in the Armed Forces.
- Experience/competence in the Armed Forces' data systems such as PRIO, LIFT.
Other
Employment form: GSS/K, the position is a fixed-term employment for up to 12 years. The Armed Forces may apply a six-month probationary period.
Employment rate: Full-time
Work location: Uppsala. F 16 also operates in other locations, which may involve occasional business trips
Working hours: Mainly daytime. Evening and weekend work may occur during training activities
Start date: By agreement

Information about the Armed Forces and the Recruiting Unit:
Uppland Air Wing, F 16, is headquartered at Uppsala garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and monitoring of Uppsala Airport as well as training conscripts in various positions within the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which commands combat aircraft in the air and conducts the ongoing surveillance of Swedish airspace. The unit operates from several locations across the country and is an important part of the growth period that the Air Force is undergoing.
