Socially Responsible Social Worker/Coordinator (SAS) for the Quality Unit
Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the city's development, with more inhabitants, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new competencies - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better city to visit, live, work, and reside in.
Do you have qualified experience in the field of elderly care and want to ensure quality through the regulations surrounding lex Sarah? Do you want to contribute to the development of social services in Sweden's ninth largest municipality? Then you are welcome to apply to us at the quality unit as a socially responsible social worker/coordinator (SAS).
Welcome to Us
The Quality Unit is part of the common staff at the Social Administration and is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and promoting quality in operations that include elderly care, health care, support for people with disabilities, and individual and family care. An important part of the unit's responsibility involves investigating irregularities according to lex Sarah and the Patient Injury Act.
The unit employs eleven staff members with various competencies (development leaders, medically responsible nurses, socially responsible social workers, medically responsible for rehabilitation, and pharmacists). Our offices are located at Juneporten in central Jönköping, close to train and bus services. After a long time in the position, our current SAS is moving on to another assignment, and we are looking for a new colleague.
Your New Job
In the role of SAS within the elderly care sector, your primary responsibility will be to investigate suspected irregularities according to lex Sarah. In cases of serious irregularities, or risk of serious irregularities, you will have the delegation to report these to the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO). As SAS, you will play a central role in monitoring quality issues within the elderly care sector.
You will share responsibility for the overall mission of the quality unit and may take on special assignments related to elderly care. This includes collaborating with the management of elderly care and maintaining close contact with the area's unit managers. You will also be involved in writing the administration's quality report and conducting quality follow-ups. Other tasks assigned to the quality unit may also be included in the position.
Your Competence
We are looking for candidates who are educated social workers or have other higher education qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer, such as from a social care program. You have at least five years of experience in elderly care as a case officer and/or unit manager. The work requires good knowledge of social law, specifically within elderly care. It is advantageous if you also have experience in the role of SAS or as a development leader/business developer within elderly care.
We seek someone who is confident in structuring and driving processes forward. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team while also taking independent responsibility for your work. You can adapt your work according to different conditions and can engage with complex issues where you see both the whole and relevant details. The work requires communicative skills and the ability to convey complex messages in a pedagogical manner, both orally and in writing in Swedish.
In addition to relevant professional experience, your personal competencies will weigh heavily.
We Offer You
With us, you will be offered an interesting job in a positive and development-oriented unit with a trust-based leadership style. Of course, as an employee of Jönköping Municipality, you will also receive a secure employment and the opportunity to benefit from a range of perks such as wellness grants and paid vacation during your first year of employment, as well as other general benefits.
