The Role of Economic Administrator

We are looking for an economic administrator to join us at Economic Services in Jönköping. You have an education in economics with a focus on accounting, for example from a vocational school/business college, or equivalent work experience in healthcare, which is assessed as equivalent by the employer. Experience in administrative work within healthcare and knowledge of healthcare regulations is an advantage. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus. The position is full-time and permanent. We may apply a probationary period. A B driver's license is desirable.

You will work with handling various economic matters that come into our functional mailboxes, where the cases vary widely. Tasks include administration related to both outpatient and inpatient care accounting. Telephone support may occur, where you answer questions from external customers and provide support to internal healthcare administrators regarding invoicing and payments. You will have contact with many different operations both internally and externally, including other regions and municipalities. This creates a varied workday that offers opportunities for both development and learning in our various processes.

In your daily work, you will handle billings, corrections, and credits in Cosmic, the healthcare journal system. You will also work with invoicing, handling disputes, offsets, and cash reconciliations. Additionally, you may need to investigate patients' rights to compensation, which can include both Swedish and international cases such as foreign cases, asylum cases, and out-of-region invoicing. It also includes handling physical mail and daily archiving.

We are located in brand new premises on Batterigatan in the A6 area, with a fantastic view of the city. Here we work activity-based with access to both individual workrooms, group rooms, and conference areas. Our location offers good commuting opportunities, with proximity to bus and train stations. Economic Services consists of about 35 employees distributed between Jönköping and Värnamo and belongs to the Economic Area within the Regional Management Office. Our operations are organized into three units: the supplier invoice unit, the customer and accounting unit, and healthcare administration for outpatient and inpatient care accounting. Together, we handle large accounting flows daily and prepare monthly financial statements. We are also responsible for the accounting of three limited companies owned by Region Jönköping County and three coordination associations. Our main economic system is Raindance, but we use several other systems daily to perform our tasks.
