The Role of Medical Administrator/Medical Secretary

As a medical administrator/medical secretary with us, you work towards the goal of providing good service to patients and healthcare staff and being part of the workgroup. Your main task consists of medical documentation in our journal system, Cosmic. If you are a trained medical administrator, diagnosis classification is also included. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays, 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM. We need summer substitutes from week 25 to 34, with an introduction taking place outside of these weeks. To ensure the best planning, we would like you to be able to work continuously for six to eight weeks.

Your Future Workplace

The Administrative Unit is part of the Children's Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital, which is the only somatic inpatient clinic for children aged 0 – 17 in the region and Sweden's largest children's clinic outside of university hospitals. We have 11 medical administrators and 1 administrative coordinator, with each medical administrator belonging to a team at the children's clinic. As an employee at the children's clinic, you will work with children and families in a clinic that is a hospital within a hospital. This means we care for children with all types of illnesses. It is a varied job with opportunities for both breadth and depth.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical administrator or medical secretary. You who are studying to become a medical administrator can work as a medical secretary after one year of study.

To thrive with us, you should be quality-conscious, take initiative, and take responsibility for your own tasks as well as for the unit as a whole. It means a lot to us that you have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues, and together we create high patient safety and good accessibility, with the patient in focus. You also have good written Swedish skills. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
