Inspector in Health and Medical Care

Then you might be the one we are looking for! The Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) Southeast Division is seeking one or more inspectors in health and medical care. The Southeast Division is located in Jönköping. The authority works together across the country, and here you will work with colleagues from various educational backgrounds and experiences.

The Role of Inspector

You will investigate your own cases within the health and medical care area together with colleagues. The cases primarily concern complaints about healthcare, but may also involve other types of cases such as reports under lex Maria. In your work, you will come into contact with both principals and staff as well as the general public. As an inspector, you always work from a user and patient perspective and with our supervision policy to focus on what is important for individuals and for different groups of people. Our authority is currently in an exciting phase of change and development work, so you should thrive and want to operate in a changing environment with a fast pace.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in health and medical care, law, social sciences, or other academic education that IVO deems relevant for the assignment.
  • Experience in analysis, investigation, or quality work
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • A driver's license

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Good knowledge of laws and regulations within health and medical care.
  • Experience in regulatory authority work.
  • Experience in development work.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work independently and structure and prioritize your work. You also enjoy collaborating with others in different constellations and with various competencies. It is particularly important that you have a good ability to express yourself in writing. As IVO is in a development phase, it is important that you find change and development work stimulating.

About the Position

The positions are permanent with a six-month probationary period. The positions are full-time with placement in Jönköping and start as soon as possible.

The divisions for licensing, analysis, planning, communication, and operational support are located in Stockholm, as is the director general's office.
