Your Role with Us

As a communicator with us, you will have a central and important role in developing and producing both internal and external communication. You will work closely with the operations and collaborate with the municipality's central strategic communication support. The role involves a broad responsibility where you proactively capture communication needs, are attentive, and serve as a natural entry point to the administration on various communication issues. You will support department heads and case officers and help them formulate and convey messages in a clear, target audience-adapted, and visually appealing manner.

Your tasks also include working with the website and intranet in collaboration with our editorial group, as well as being responsible for the administration's social media, thereby strengthening both the administration's and Kristianstad Municipality's brand. You will develop communication plans, drive communication efforts, and actively work with plain language and visualization to make information on the web and in our forms understandable and easily accessible. We work in systems such as SiteVision, Piwik Pro, Mediaflow, Clipsk, Mynewsdesk, Playipp, Meta business suite, M365, and M365 Copilot.

Who Are We Looking For?

To succeed in this role, we see that you have a relevant post-secondary education in media, communication, or journalism, or another educational background that the employer deems equivalent. You need to have experience working both operationally and strategically in the communication field and be confident in independently driving projects. It is an advantage if you have worked in a politically governed organization.

You have a knack for expressing yourself clearly, structured, and understandably, and you are good at adapting your texts to the intended target audience. We also want you to be able to lead a presentation, training session, or lecture and adjust your communication to the audience. We expect you to have previously worked in SiteVision, and it is advantageous if you have experience with any of the following tools: Piwik Pro, Mediaflow, Clipsk, Mynewsdesk, Playipp, Meta business suite, M365, and M365 Copilot.

You are a creative person who enjoys finding new ideas and expressions. Being a curious, engaged person who shows a genuine interest in the operations and its issues is seen as an advantage. It is beneficial if you have a reflective working style and the ability to see the big picture and draw conclusions that enhance communication. You are collaborative and have an easy time building trusting relationships, while also having good prioritization skills and the ability to work agilely by shifting focus when the situation requires it.

The Environmental and Community Building Administration is responsible for planning the physical environment in the municipality and works with building permits, planning future construction, land surveying, and geographic information. We are also responsible for granting permits and conducting supervision to protect health and the environment.
