We are an independent and privately funded association with 1,150 member companies that want to make Värmland an even better place for businesses. Another way to express this is that we are a voice, a meeting place, and an international hub. We converse. We meet. We share experiences. And we engage.

We gather around issues such as electrification, infrastructure, skills supply, internationalization, and communications. To create relevant meeting places around these issues, we are now looking for a person who wants to help develop our events and our communication – and who has a clear interest in what is happening in our region and in society at large.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is self-driven, meticulous, and structured, and who enjoys taking responsibility from start to finish. You have a natural ability to create order and progress, even when multiple activities are ongoing at the same time. You gain energy from coordinating and creating well-planned meetings and events. You are equally pleased to get the practical details in place for a member meeting as you are to participate in the strategic conversation about content and purpose. To thrive with us, you need to be socially interested, have a good awareness of your surroundings, and understand how business and societal issues are interconnected. We also appreciate a certain degree of creativity, even if it is not the most important aspect. It contributes to finding good setups, titles, angles, and formats that make our activities both relevant and engaging. With your doer mentality, sense of responsibility, and desire to deliver quality, you are helping to build meeting places that make a difference for our members.

Your tasks

• Package, plan, and execute physical and digital events (everything from shorter breakfast meetings to the Business Day where we gather 700 people)
• Have overall strategic responsibility, including concept development of events and networks
• Drive budget work and take responsibility for quality and sustainability in execution
• Be involved in sales and marketing for events
• Contribute operationally to our ongoing communication across various channels
• Request and assess quotes and sign contracts
• Create relevant and attractive content for our network meetings and events
• Be involved in creating and maintaining relationships with our members

Your background

We prefer that you have several years of experience in event management, meeting places, or experience production, preferably in a responsible role. You are a confident project manager who appreciates a day where a lot is happening and understands the value of structure, time management, and order. You are stable, socially interested, and a skilled relationship builder who thrives in meeting people. You are comfortable in the digital communication and media landscape and know how to reach out across different channels. It is an advantage if you are used to speaking in front of groups, moderating, or leading discussions – but it is not a requirement. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities, especially your ability to build relationships, understand contexts, and communicate clearly.
