The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is Growing
We are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand centers, and client transport.
The Position
The position is located within the Section for Special Investigations based in Norrköping, but the tasks cover the entire country. The Section for Special Investigations is tasked with conducting incident and internal investigations and handling cases related to the whistleblower law. The incident investigations carried out by the section are conducted for developmental purposes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an employee within the section, you will be responsible for conducting internal and incident investigations and may also handle so-called whistleblower cases. You are also expected to contribute to the development of the operations, support the section manager, and continuously pay attention to events that may be significant for the authority from an investigative perspective. All employees should strive for good internal and external collaboration. In this position, employees are also expected to participate in more cross-functional projects that fall within the department's mandate.
Travel and overnight stays may occur in this position.
QUALIFICATIONS

In your work, you are meticulous and well aware of goals and quality standards. You structure your approach and drive your processes forward. Your ability to understand, prioritize, and analyze complex issues is strong. Furthermore, you also understand complicated linguistic materials and produce your own documents of high quality.

We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree in, for example, political science, behavioral science, pedagogy, law, or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
- A valid driver's license (B category)
- Experience in independently conducting or leading investigations
- Good IT skills and a strong understanding of the importance of secure information management
- Excellent ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
It is an advantage if you have:
- Other relevant education/certification, such as in investigative methodology and analytical work
- Training within the operations of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
- Investigative experience within the judicial system or another government authority
- Experience in conducting internal investigations
- Experience in accident investigations or investigations of other serious incidents
- Management experience
- Experience in collecting, compiling, evaluating, and analyzing information for assessment purposes
- Experience in security-related work
- Experience working in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, preferably within multiple areas of the agency and/or from different organizational levels with various types of tasks
