Do you want to work in a developing environment where you become a crucial link in a socially important operation?

Electrification, energy transition, and a common European electricity market mean that Svenska kraftnät is facing a historic expansion of the transmission network. Svenska kraftnät is now looking for a lawyer with experience in electricity preparedness. Take the chance and apply to one of Sweden's most important and exciting workplaces!

About the position

An increased focus on energy issues and electrification, a changed security situation, and a faster pace in the expansion of the transmission network mean increased interest in Svenska kraftnät's operations. As the organization simultaneously expands rapidly, there is a growing internal need for legal support.

The Legal Department at Svenska kraftnät consists of three units: Regulatory Law, Investment Law, and System Law. The Regulatory Law unit is now seeking a regulatory lawyer with a focus on administrative law, security, and preparedness to support the agency's work in areas such as electricity preparedness, civil duty, dam safety, and oversight of security protection. You will be part of the unit's function for administrative law, security, and preparedness.

The role includes the following tasks:

  • Provide legal support, advice, and training primarily in matters of preparedness, civil duty, dam safety, security protection, and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge bases, templates, and processes to streamline the agency's work and assist in litigation.
  • Analyze complex legal issues and contribute to ensuring that the agency's perspective is taken into account in legislative work.

The work will also encompass other areas of law, such as administrative law and contract law.

As a lawyer at Svenska kraftnät, you will have the opportunity to develop your ability to work with different professional categories, find solutions to the agency's legal issues, and explain the legal frameworks. By fostering good cooperation between different competencies and organizations, you contribute to a legally secure and uniform application of the law within Sweden and within the complex organization that Svenska kraftnät is. You will contribute to a socially important issue where the client, the parliament/government, is active and has high expectations for measures that have an effect.

Svenska kraftnät's operations need to meet society's urgent demands for total defense, energy transition, and electrification. To thrive in the role of regulatory lawyer at Svenska kraftnät, you need to enjoy varied tasks and a development-driven work environment where it is about finding suitable solutions even when the law is complex or difficult to interpret.

At the Legal Department, we are about 43 regulatory lawyers distributed across three units. The Regulatory Law unit consists of the IT law function, the labor law function, and the administrative law, security protection, and preparedness function. You will also collaborate closely with other regulatory lawyers in other units, specialized in areas such as construction law, environmental law, permit issues, etc.
