About the job as Junior Controller

As a Junior Controller at Jefferson Wells, placed at our client (the authority), you will be part of the finance department and support their team in controlling and financial management. You will work on projects funded by external sources such as EU funds, Sida, and other financiers, where accurate budgeting, monitoring, and reporting are central.

You will be responsible for following up on the projects' financial outcomes, ensuring proper documentation, supporting audits, and communicating both internally and with external parties. The role also includes administration related to the projects' financial flows and the requirements of the financiers.

Common tasks include:

• Budgeting and ongoing financial monitoring of projects.
• Producing forecasts and analyses related to project outcomes.
• Managing reporting to external financiers (e.g., EU, Sida).
• Supporting audits and preparing documentation for auditors.
• Ensuring that projects comply with guidelines and requirements for financial reporting.
• Administration related to financial management and project management.
• Working in financial systems and analysis tools such as Power BI, QlikView, or equivalent.

The candidate we are looking for

We are looking for someone with experience working as a controller and specific familiarity with projects with external funding. You are communicative, analytical, structured, and have an easy time collaborating with different functions within the organization. You thrive in a role where you can combine analysis with administrative tasks and enjoy working in an environment with clear reporting requirements.

To succeed in this role, you must clearly outline your previous reference assignments in your application. You must have completed at least one assignment that corresponds to this, where monitoring and analysis of financial outcomes compared to forecasts and budgets were included. The assignment must be documented and verifiable by a reference person - either ongoing or completed within the last three months.

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Completed education in controlling, finance, or a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of work experience as a controller.
• Experience with projects funded by EU funds, Sida, or similar.
• Documented experience working with budget monitoring, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of analysis tools such as Power BI, QlikView, or equivalent.
• Experience with financial systems such as Unit4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, or similar.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection.
