We are now looking for a Controller for our finance department, reporting directly to the CFO. You will have a central role focusing on the company's real estate projects and investments and become part of an experienced and dedicated team of six people responsible for the company's accounting, reporting, and financial follow-up. The team is characterized by high competence, open collaboration, and shared responsibility.

Botkyrkabyggen is one of the country's larger public housing companies with approximately 10,700 rental apartments and 150 employees. We strive to be the country's most customer-oriented company with the guiding principles of close-engaged-reliable. Botkyrkabyggen works to create inclusive workplaces, increased diversity, a balanced gender distribution of women and men of different ages, and a spread in ethnic backgrounds among the staff. We aim to create mixed teams at all levels and within all occupational categories, with sustainability as our guiding principle.

Responsibilities

As a Controller, you will work with follow-up, budgeting, and forecasting processes and be responsible for reporting to management and the board. You will have a particular responsibility for the financial follow-up of the company's real estate projects related to renovation, maintenance, and new production in close collaboration with management, operations, and property development.

The work involves producing and quality-assuring investment calculations, monitoring costs and forecasts, and ensuring correct handling in the income statement and balance sheet, including activation in the asset register and assessment of investment versus maintenance. In dialogue with managers and project leaders, you will act as a financial partner and contribute with analysis and structure in matters concerning investments and ongoing operations.

You will also participate in the work with internal reports, key performance analyses, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The assignment includes supporting managers and employees in financial matters and assisting the CFO and other colleagues in the finance department with investigations and tasks that may arise within the department's framework.

You will also have shared system responsibility for the company's follow-up and analysis system as well as parts of the property system.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a university degree in finance or another relevant post-secondary education. However, the most important aspect is your background and your ability to independently work with financial follow-up of real estate projects. You have several years of experience in controlling within real estate companies and have worked with residential properties. The role requires work with project or property controlling related to investments. You are accustomed to working with investment calculations, project follow-up, and activation in the asset register and have a good understanding of how investments affect the income statement and balance sheet. You have a solid foundation in property economics, accounting, and VAT issues and work fluently in Excel with good system skills.

As a person, you are collaborative and thrive in a role with many points of contact. You are confident and clear in your assessments and have integrity in your work approach. With a solution-oriented and humble attitude, you contribute with structure, build trust within the organization, and ensure that financial frameworks and principles are followed.

We offer

Botkyrkabyggen offers a stimulating job that provides you with many points of contact both inside and outside the company. We offer a generous wellness allowance, health insurance, flexible working hours with a 38-hour workweek. Botkyrkabyggen is a smoke-free workplace. The position is a permanent employment.
