Product Developer in Medtech
Do you want to work with product development in an international environment within Medtech?
We are looking for someone with a project management profile who is an engineer or equivalent with a focus on materials science or chemical engineering. This is an opportunity to work as a Product Developer in medical technology in a broad role with great development potential. In this role, you will work in an international environment as Orkla has factories and offices in several locations across Europe.
Orkla Wound Care is seeking a Product Developer for its headquarters in Solna. Orkla Wound Care provides the markets with quality-assured first aid and wound care products. Orkla Wound Care has its production and main market in Europe but currently has sales in over 40 markets worldwide. Some well-known brands include Salvequick and Norgesplaster for consumers, and Cederroth First Aid and Snögg in B2B.
The position is located in Solna Business Park and is a project employment for approximately 10-12 months. We warmly welcome your application; selection is ongoing.
About the position
Orkla Wound Care works with the entire value chain, and you will be part of making a difference in our operations! You will be part of the International Marketing & Innovation department and report to the Innovation & Product Development Manager. You will work on developing and improving life-saving products that make a difference in our end customers' daily lives when accidents occur.
Your responsibilities include:
- establishing project documentation and technical product documentation.
- leading artwork and improvement projects
- conducting simpler laboratory tests in connection with product development.
- identifying new materials with a focus on sustainability and cost optimization.
In your role, you will have extensive contact points both externally and internally, and you will develop and design products together with colleagues in marketing, purchasing, quality, regulatory, and production.
Who are you?
We believe you are at the beginning of your career with some years of relevant work experience. For this position, good knowledge of English is required, and preferably one of the Nordic languages. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is a requirement.
Further meritorious experiences:
- Experience in laboratory work and material analysis
- Experience from a development department within medical technology
- Experience in development work with various types of manufacturing methods
- Experience and interest in design for example injection-molded parts or design of new products
- Experience in risk analysis
