We are now looking for a Classification Specialist

We are looking for a structured and communicative classification specialist based at our facility in Häradsudden, Norrköping.

Responsibilities

In your role as a classification specialist, you will be responsible for classifying materials that come into our facilities in Region Mitt, with a focus on our facility in Häradsudden outside Norrköping. You are responsible for classifying and reclassifying materials in relation to legislation, our internal processes, and treatment techniques.

You have an important coordination role where you communicate daily with various functions at the facility. You therefore have a holistic perspective and serve as an important bridge between sales and production. Your tasks include classifying and reclassifying materials based on information about waste from our customers, such as analysis protocols, assigning internal material codes, managing material deviations, training other functions in simpler classification procedures, and coordinating material needs with production. You also ensure that materials are classified correctly and thus end up in the right place at the facility. Your main tasks also include supporting the receiving inspector, the environmental group, and production engineers in material issues, risk assessments, and developing recipes for stabilization, for example.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in handling various types of materials at a recycling facility. You have an educational background as a chemist or have acquired equivalent knowledge through similar education or work experience. We would like you to have knowledge of EWC codes and treatment codes, regulations and directives related to the Environmental Code, and/or experience from a waste facility with its own landfill.

As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and collaborative. You should be quick to absorb information and able to report it back to those who need your support. You will work with environmental workers, section managers, salespeople, customers, and officials, so you must be able to communicate easily with people and tailor information to the recipient. You have good experience with IT systems and are proficient in the Office suite. It is important that you communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and also have a good command of English. Of course, you also have a strong interest in environmental and resource issues. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position is based in Häradsudden, Norrköping. The position requires a B driving license. Since the facility is located outside public transport, you will also need access to a car.

The role reports to the regional section manager for classification and materials.
