About the position

We are establishing a new position with a focus on environment and sustainability. The position also includes chemical issues and monitoring legislation in the area.

You will be responsible for monitoring, implementing, and ensuring that Welin & Co complies with requirements related to products and operations, ranging from voluntary certifications to environmental and chemical legislation. You will work on integrating sustainability issues throughout the business and have close dialogue with management about progress and areas for improvement.

Main responsibilities:

· Handling chemical issues, such as CLP, REACH, and safety data sheets

· Monitoring and implementing relevant laws and standards

· Reporting in assessment systems, such as BASTA, Sunda Hus, and Byggvarubedömningen.

· Contributing to the continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability work through coordination, management, and adaptation of management systems according to standard requirements, including developing sustainability strategies and policies and being responsible for the ongoing work with ISO 14001.

· Communicating environmental and sustainability work internally and externally

· The position mainly concerns Sweden and Denmark, but contacts with Finland and Norway may also occur.

· Travel may occur on rare occasions

The position also involves dialogue with customers, suppliers, certification bodies, and authorities related to the above areas.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with several years of documented experience in the field. You have a genuine interest in chemistry, environmental, and sustainability issues, you are goal-oriented, have a cheerful disposition, are humble, and have a high level of service orientation. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

We believe you have:

· University education in environmental and chemistry

· Are well acquainted with what Reach and CLP entail, e.g., restrictions, Candidate List substances, Safety Data Sheets, classification and labeling of chemical products, etc.

· Very good knowledge of environmental and other chemical legislation that may apply to Welin & Co (biocides, waste, producer responsibility, etc.)

· Good knowledge of assessment systems and construction product databases

· Experience working with management systems, emission measurements, and material recycling
