About the Authority
Do you want to take on an important role in a government authority's information management? We are now looking for an experienced archivist for a longer consulting assignment with broad responsibilities in both registration and archives during a colleague's parental leave.
Practical Information
Scope: Full-time, 40 hours/week.
Start: April/May 2026.
Duration: Approximately nine months, with the possibility of extension.
Workplace: Central Stockholm.
Remote Work: Some possibility exists after agreement.
Security Classification: The position is classified and requires an approved security clearance.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will have a central function in the authority's information management. You will work with registration, which is expected to constitute about 20–30 percent of the assignment, while also being responsible for ongoing tasks related to archive maintenance, digital archive management, and the release of public documents. The work also includes investigative elements, such as conducting retention investigations. Additionally, you will provide support and service to employees regarding both registration and archives, and actively participate in the development of the authority's routines and methods within the archive area.
Your Profile
You are a confident and experienced archivist who thrives in a service-oriented and structured role.
Requirements:
- University degree in archival science or equivalent competence through extensive work experience.
- At least three years of experience in registration and archival work, including retention, archive maintenance, digital archive management, and the release of public documents.
- At least one year of experience in these tasks within public operations.
- Experience in providing service and support in organizations.
- Knowledge and experience with one or more major diary systems.
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of laws and regulations governing public operations and archival responsibilities.
- Several years of experience in information security and good knowledge of GDPR.
- Several years of experience in retention investigations.
- Experience working in e-archives.
References: Two references from the public sector where you have worked as an archivist must be provided.
