About the assignment

We at Novare are a proud and approved supplier of the government framework agreement in Sweden. We are now looking for an archivist for an authority in Stockholm.

In the role of archivist at the authority, you will work with tasks related to both archiving and registration.

For this role, we are looking for someone who is meticulous and analytical. You have the ability to structure and plan your own work. Furthermore, we see that you are solution-oriented and self-driven.

The position is security classified, and you may need to undergo a background check and possible security clearance.

Examples of overall tasks:

• retrieval and release of information from physical archives, historical collections, or databases (public documents)
• organizing and cataloging archives
• establishing archive reporting
• creating information management plans, making assessments regarding the content of documents regarding what must be preserved and what can be discarded, as well as how documents should be stored
• participating in the establishment of guidelines and governing documents for internal archival work.

Requirements for the position

• university degree in archival science or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience
• at least three (3) years of work experience in registration and archival work
• at least one (1) year of work experience in public operations
• knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• knowledge of document and case management systems (e.g., Public360, W3D3, Platina, Iipax One Visual Archive, etc.)
• ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• able to provide two references for similar assignments.

Desirable qualifications for the position

• familiarity with laws and regulations governing public operations and the role and responsibilities of archivists
• several years of experience working with information security, good knowledge of GDPR
• several years of experience with disposal investigations
• several years of experience with how work is conducted in e-archives

Assignment period and scope

The assignment is full-time with immediate start after approved security clearance (April/May) and lasts for approximately 9 months, with the possibility of extension. The placement is at the authority in Stockholm, with some opportunity for remote work.
