Experienced Archivist Needed for Government Agency in Stockholm

We are currently seeking an experienced Archivist for a consulting assignment with our client, a government agency in Stockholm.

• Scope: Full-time 100%
• Duration: 9 months
• Start: April/May

You will be employed by Poolia but will work on-site with our client.

Note!
The position is classified in a security category, and you will need to undergo a security clearance process, including a security interview and background check, before starting the assignment. This requires Swedish citizenship.

About the Position

The agency needs to temporarily strengthen its organization with archivist and registry expertise for a period.

The work takes place at the agency's office in central Stockholm. Some possibility for remote work exists after agreement with the ordering client.

Your Main Responsibilities

Typical archivist tasks that occur within the agency. Some registry work is also included. Registry work is estimated to constitute about 20–30 percent of the assignment's scope. The archival part also includes investigative work, such as disposal investigations.

Who Are You?

To be considered for the assignment, you need to meet the following criteria:

• Higher education in archival science or equivalent knowledge acquired through extensive work experience as an archivist
• At least three years of work experience in registry and archival work, including archival care, disclosure of public documents, disposal, and digital archive management. At least one year of experience in these tasks from public operations.
• Experience and interest in providing service to employees.
• Knowledge and experience in one of the major diary systems on the market.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with laws and regulations governing public operations and the role and responsibilities of archivists
• Several years of experience working with information security, good knowledge of GDPR
• Several years of experience with disposal investigations
• Several years of experience in how work is conducted in e-archives.
