Social Worker in Economic Assistance

The unit currently consists of four social workers, and we are now expanding with two positions. We offer the advantages of a smaller municipality with close leadership and short decision-making paths, where each employee has a significant impact on the whole.

We help each other, and case supervision in groups and individually is offered by the unit manager.

There is an opportunity to sign a remote work agreement that allows for remote work when the business permits it, but primarily the work is performed on-site to provide the best support for those we are here for.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a social worker in economic assistance in Osby Municipality means that your main focus is to support our residents towards self-sufficiency and to investigate the right to assistance and collaborate with other parties.

The job responsibilities mainly consist of handling applications, investigating the right to assistance, making decisions, mapping needs, and offering advice and support to applicants who are often in complex life situations.

The work requires the ability to collaborate with other parties around the individual to actively drive the process forward.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Social Work or another bachelor's degree deemed relevant by the employer
• You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
• You are expected to document and use other digital systems required in your work after introduction

We consider it an advantage to have:

• Previous experience in case handling and authority exercise, but this is not a requirement; your attitude is more important, and we will teach you what you need on the job
• Training and experience in BIP, MI, 7tjugo
• Documented experience in collaboration
• Other language skills besides Swedish
